Description

Full for 2022 – RB Graduate Men’s Group Facilitated by Bob will be offered again in 2023.

This RB-only Men’s Group will explore what it means to be a man and will provide support to one another as we live into our masculinity.  Together, we will strengthen our integrity and become more purposeful.  Join us to address the challenges in our lives and love relationships.

We are starting another RB Men’s group because of how important and positive our existing RB Men’s Groups have become in our lives. Within a few months, our trust and vulnerability solidified allowing us each to bring what is real for us into the room. After about 6 months, each of us has noticeably and specifically evolved into our masculinity. We also decided to meet weekly instead of bi-weekly because this group is so supportive and effective. It has become our priority in supporting ourselves and our brethren. It is so powerful, no one misses a session. Join your RB brothers in our masculine quest.

As a starting point, we will read No More Mr. Nice Guy by Robert Glover. “If I am a nice guy, then everyone will love me and like me.”  Why doesn’t this contract hold true?  Why don’t we get the love we want when we give so much to others?  Dr. Robert Glover has dubbed the “Nice Guy Syndrome” to be trying too hard to please others while neglecting one’s own needs, thus causing unhappiness and resentfulness.

Together we will explore the “nice guy” syndrome in our lives, and the path forward to meaningful and satisfying lives.  Read through Chapter 2 (also available on Audible) before we meet.  I will provide a safe and confidential environment to explore the masculine and how the covert contracts of the “nice guy” lead us astray.

I and other men from our initial men’s group will facilitate for 6-9 months to get this started ($40/month fee), and then turn it over to you to continue (no charge). Great male friends are made here, and I expect these groups to go on for a very long time.

Testimonials

“Joining a men’s group has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my personal healing journey. Something magical happens when compassionate, honest and committed men can share with one another the unique challenges that we all face in finding our true selves and how we relate to the world and our partners. I see this group being part of my life for a very long time. I already see the change and growth in myself and the other men in the group in less than a year! We support and challenge one another to be true to ourselves. Why is this not mandatory for the modern man???”

“The RB Men’s Group is a highlight of my week, connecting with other men as we explore together what it means to be a man, friend, and human. The changes I have noticed in each of us in a short amount of time is nothing but staggering. It is my deepest hope that all men (and humans) have such an impactful and meaningful group as this one.”

“The connections I’ve formed in this group have given me confidence and perspective that I can carry into all of my relationships. It’s a place to openly share thoughts and feelings, to challenge each other, and grow.”

“After my divorce, family and friends were supportive but I didn’t feel anyone really understood. There were times I felt as though I was in a world all by myself. The RB Men’s Group has helped me by connecting with men I believe understand me, men who are working on themselves and willing to share those experiences, and men that want to be accountable and hold me accountable in life’s journey. What started out as some bi-weekly meeting has turned into a solid support system that I value and rely on.”
